Welcome to Sheds And Storage!

Feb 01, 2008 @ 10:30 pm by Jim Carnegie

Never before has the consumer had such a wonderful choice of outdoor storage. Gone are the days when this meant choosing between the standard wooden or metal shed. Now we are spoilt with choice: there are garden sheds, storage sheds, tool sheds, outdoor sheds, bicycle sheds, portable sheds and even garage buildings!!

From the escalating land values of the cities to the widening rural needs of the country areas, storage has become an invaluable part of modern living. Not only do sheds provide excellent storage and security solutions for smaller items such as bicycles and tools, they can also provide protection from the elements for larger items such as cars and even livestock.

But what is one to do? The choice can be quite confusing for most people. But fear not – you’ve come to the right place.

I have found a way to channel my passion for all things shed related and hope that I can assist you with my knowledge.

My aim is to cover everything from carports, to metal pole barns to gazebo sheds. Even the material used to construct the shed will be discussed in future articles. This means wooden sheds, metal sheds, pvc sheds and prefab sheds. I will even be covering “how to build a shed” for the DIY enthusiasts.

But for now if you are thinking you might need some kind of  storage and you’ve just decided to put the term “outdoor shed” into google, you might be feeling a little overwhelmed. Don’t panic! While it’s easy to feel perplexed, there is a very simple step by step guide to narrow down the choices. It’s all covered in my next article. The first step is to ask yourself this 1 question:

“What EXACTLY do I want to use the shed or storage building for?”

Write a quick list of the immediate uses that come to mind.
Then when you have that list, start thinking into the future. Try and be realistic but allow yourself to dream as well.

Once you have the list just click here on  “Choosing A Shed” for further instructions.
